What Makes John Joseph Adams Unique?

Barnes and Noble named John Joseph Adams  "the reigning king of the anthology world." This is an appropriate title. With 19 successful anthologies since 2008, Adams has set a new standard for quality in the anthology market.

This seems especially true as it relates to the zombie genre.  Brave New Worlds, Wastelands, and The Living Dead demonstrate meticulous attention to quality and theme. These anthologies are also very accessible to new readers, allowing the genre to grow beyond limiting stereotypes.
